Douglas DC-6B
The DC-6b went for Pan Am into service on May 1st 1952 with the "Clipper Liberty Bell" (N6519C). The Airline ordered a total number of 45 BC-6B, which were all delivered to Pan Am by June 1954. The airliners flew the prestige route from New York to London first. They do well even in the new "jet-age" and the last 5 of them were sold on September 17th 1968.
