This airliner Pan Am bought
and flew it for almost 10 years. It was a small ship and was mainly used
in the West Indies. These islands got more and more better airfields, so
it was no problem to serve them with modern aircraft. The last Convair
went out of service in 1957. Pan Am also flew the bigger model the Convair
340 but kept them only a few month.
