The Boeing B 737-200 was the fourth aircraft Boeing equipped with jet engines. Pan Am had little need for that jet and purchased only 16 of theese airliners. They were mainly used in the I.G.S but were replaced after a few years and the B 727-200 take over the service again in the mid 80'. It was one of thoose deals from C. Edward Acker who was Pan Am's CEO that time which costs much and helped little. There were only leased from Air Florida, Ackers former airline... Pan Am didn't even had 737 that time. It was a $ 6.5 million deal.
